NASHVILLE – September is Hunger Action Month, and Vanderbilt University Student Athletics is conducting a canned food drive in conjunction with the Southeastern Conference’s “Together We CAN” initiative to stop hunger in its tracks.
Canned goods will be collected at the Commodores’ Sept. 15 soccer game against Memphis at the VU Soccer Complex, and again at the Sept. 17 football game against Ole Miss in Vandyville.
All canned goods collected will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to benefit surrounding communities.
