Vanderbilt basketball will be featured twice this upcoming season on ESPN’s Super Tuesday, with one appearance on the road and one at home in the friendly confines of Memorial Gym.
Commodores, ranked number seven in Andy Katz’s early preseason poll, will face new Razorback coach Mike Anderson and his Arkansas team in Fayetteville on January 31, and host East division rival Florida on February 28. Both games will tip off at 8 p.m. CT. All games will be televised by ESPN and ESPN3.com.
Here are some tidbits on Super Tuesday games:
- Every game will feature at least one team ranked in an early men’s preseason top 25 poll by ESPN.com senior college basketball writer Andy Katz.
- The schedule also includes four teams ranked in ESPN.com senior college basketball writer Andy Katz’s early men’s preseason top 25 poll: No. 2 Kentucky, No. 7 Vanderbilt, No. 12 Florida and No. 14 Alabama.
- Three games will pit No. 12 Florida against a team ranked in Katz’s preseason poll, including at No. 2 Kentucky (Feb. 7), at No. 14 Alabama (Feb. 14) and at No. 7 Vanderbilt (Feb. 28).
- The schedule includes four teams coming off NCAA Championship berths highlighted by squads that reached the Final Four (Kentucky) and Elite Eight (Florida) as well as Vanderbilt and Georgia.
