Hello from the Dominican Republic!
One word to describe the first day of competition for me…rough!
Have you ever had one of those off days? Today was definitely a tough one for me; there were too many simple errors on my part. My spare game was off. This would be similar to a basketball player’s free throw shooting being off, a tennis player double faulting more than usual or a baseball player missing that simple pop fly to the outfield.
In a sense it is a competitive athlete’s worst nightmare. However, tomorrow is a new day. Better things are going to happen. Every athlete knows that bad days are going to happen. The great athletes realize that lessons are learned from those awful days.
So with that said, here is to a brand new day, and to bigger and better things to come!
