Snedeker has finished in the top 15 at both majors in 2011, tying for 15th at the Masters and 11th at the U.S. Open. However, the British Open will offer an even greater challenge to Snedeker, who has missed the cut in his only two appearances in the Open Championship (2008 & 2009).

The 2011 Open Championship is being held at the par-70, 7,211-yard Royal St. George’s Golf Club, which has hosted four championships since 1981 with the most recent taking place in 2003. That year American Ben Curtis won the Claret Jug.

Snedeker will begin play at the open at 6:48 a.m. CT on Thursday and is paired with Lucas Bjerregaard and Trevor Immelman.

Live coverage of the Open Championship will be shown on ESPN beginning at 3 a.m. CT Thursday and Friday morning.

The Nashville native has five top-10 and 10 top-25 finishes to his credit this season. He currently ranks 12th in the FedExCup standings.
