NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For the second consecutive year, Ryan Lipman has been selected to the 2011 NCAA Singles Championships, as announced by the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Subcommittee on Wednesday.
The singles tournament will take place May 25-30 at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford, Calif. following the conclusion of the team championship.
Currently ranked 30th in the nation, Lipman was on of the 48 at large selections to this year’s tournament.
Lipman posted a 20-12 record this year, which included a 15-7 mark in dual matches. He played all of his dual matches at the No. 1 position.
Prior to the singles tournament, Lipman and the rest of the Commodores will compete in the NCAA Team Tournament, which begins Fri., May 13. Vanderbilt will play Virginia Tech in the first round in the Knoxville, Tenn. region.
