NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The duo of Alex Leatu and Rachael Dillon were selected to compete in the NCAA Doubles Championships, May 25-30 at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford, Calif.
Leatu and Dillon are the 36th ranked duo in the nation, and earned one of the 24 at-large bids.
The pair has tallied a 19-10 record together this year, including a 10-9 mark in dual matches. They went 9-9 at the No. 1 position.
This is the first time a doubles team has been selected to the NCAA Tournament since Amanda Taylor and Courtney Ulery played in the tournament in 2008.
Leatu was also selected as an alternate for the singles tournament.
The Commodores begin the NCAA Team Tournament May 14 against Winthrop at the Knoxville, Tenn. regional.
