Vanderbilt senior Alex Zotov has been named to the 2011 SEC Men’s Tennis Community Service Team, the conference office announced this morning.
A native of Minsk, Belarus, Zotov has spent the past two semesters volunteering on a weekly basis at the local Ronald McDonald House. He helped out around the house, assisting families who are in town while their children are receiving treatment at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Zotov will graduate in May after majoring in computer engineering. After graduation, he will work in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a research assistant.
Zotov and the rest of the men’s tennis team will travel to Gainesville, Fla. this weekend for the SEC Tournament. The Commodores face Ole Miss in the first round on Thursday at 5 p.m. CT.
