Vanderbilt improved to 22-3 on the year winning the team’s sixth straight series two games to one at Arkansas and pounding Tennessee Tech on Tuesday… The Commodores pounded out 11 hits in an 11-2 win over Tennessee Tech… Seven different Commodores registered at least one hit and four had two-hit performances… T.J. Pecoraro picked up the win with two no-hit innings…. Arkansas rallied for two runs in the eighth inning to beat VU and Sonny Gray 2-1 on Friday night… The loss ruined a compete game effort for Gray, who fanned 12 in his second complete game of the year… The Dores’ lone run came on a wild pitch with the bases loaded… The Commodores evened the series on Saturday with a 4-1 win behind starter Grayson Garvin… Garvin turned in eight strong innings allowing one run on two hits with six strikeouts… Tony Kemp paced the offense and equaled a career-best with three hits… Vandy clinched the series with Sunday’s 2-1 win over Arkansas… Aaron Westlake’s solo home run off the scoreboard in right-center field put the Dores up early… Taylor Hill pitched five scoreless innings to earn the win and Navery Moore pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his sixth save of the year an second of the weekend.
