Vanderbilt’s first women’s football clinic, VUFB 101, will give fans an up close and personal look at Vanderbilt’s football program.
VUFB 101, scheduled for April 9 on campus in Nashville, is specifically designed for Vanderbilt’s female audience to expand their knowledge of college football rules and to take advantage of an opportunity to get an insider’s look at the Commodore football program.
Head Coach James Franklin and the coaching staff will participate in VUFB 101, teaching the basics of Vanderbilt’s offensive and defensive football schemes. The clinic will include teaching sessions on the practice field and in meeting rooms.
“I’m excited about this clinic and about the opportunity to meet more of our fans,” Franklin said. “This clinic will be both informative and fun for our female fans.”
The clinic will include a football rules segment with SEC officials, a presentation on football equipment, and give participants an opportunity to learn about the Commodores’ strength-training regimen.
The registration fee is $50. The fee includes a souvenir bag with exclusive gifts, certificate of completion, photo with Coach Franklin, and a complimentary lunch by noted Vanderbilt food coach Majid “Magic” Noori.
The clinic is free for Vanderbilt students. VUFB 101 is limited to the first 150 registrants. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.
