Austin Peay Spring Fling results | Rhoades College Open Meet results Get Acrobat Reader

MEMPHIS – The Vanderbilt women’s track team, as well as members of the men’s cross country team, opened up the outdoor track season this weekend. Competing at the Austin Peay Spring Fling and the Rhoades College Open Meet, members of the team posted season and personal bests.

At the Austin Peay Spring Fling, Meagan Martin tied her personal best in the pole vault after clearing a height of 3.65 meters (12’0″). She finished first in the competition, while Alyson Hasty and Renee Maggart tied for second (3.35m), and Jordan Sala came in fourth (3.05m).

In Memphis at the Rhoades College Open Meet, Kristabel Doebel-Hickok came in first out of 50 participants in the 5K race, with a time of 17:21.03. Members of the men’s cross country team competed in the 5K race as well, with Alan Ash leading the way. He finished 11th overall with a time of 15:29.49. Kyle Rewick (15:52.49), Bram Chisholm (15:53.85) and David McAdams (16:02.40) also finished in the top 20 out of 51 competitors.

The outdoor season continues next weekend when Vanderbilt hosts the annual Black and Gold Invitational, March 25 and 26 at the Vanderbilt track and field complex.
