MG heads to Bandon Dunes

The Commodore men’s golf team closes its spring break in grand style when they participate in the Bandon Dunes Championship at the world-famous Bandon Dunes Course in Oregon. The tournament will be a 54-hole event, with 36 holes being played on Friday and 18 holes on Saturday.

Teams participating:
British Columbia, Boise State, Colorado, Florida, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Mercer, Northern Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Saint Mary’s, San Jose State, South Carolina, Utah Valley, Vanderbilt, Washington

Format: 36 holes Friday, 18 holes Saturday

Golf Course: Bandon Dunes Course, Par 72 – 6,798 Yards

Weather: The forecast calls for highs in the low 50s, winds 10-15 mph both days with a 20 percent chance of rain Friday and a 70 percent chance of rain Saturday. The 2010 tournament was shortened to 36 holes because of rain and winds gusting to 50 mph.
