The #21/20 Vanderbilt Commodores travel to Lexington, Ky., to take on East Division rival #20/23 Kentucky on Tuesday night in a nationally televised contest on ESPN. The game tips off at 8 p.m. CT, and can also be heard live on the Vanderbilt Sports Network from IMG College and vucommodores.com.

Brad Nessler, Jimmy Dykes, and Shannon Spake will have the call for ESPN.

Tuesday’s game at Kentucky marks Vanderbilt’s last true road contest of the 2010-11 season.

Series Info: Tuesday’s game with Kentucky will be the 178th all-time meeting, with Kentucky leading the series, 133-44. The Wildcats have a 79-19 series advantage in games played in Lexington.
Last Meeting: The last meeting between the two schools came on February 12, 2011, in Nashville in a game Vanderbilt won, 81-77.

Kentucky enters the game with a 20-8 overall record and an 8-6 mark in SEC play after knocking off East division leader Florida on Saturday in Lexington, 76-68.

Brandon Knight leads four Wildcat players in double figures with 17.7 points per game. Terrence Jones adds 17.3 points per game, Doron Lamb chips in 13.4, and Darius Miller averages 10.9 points per game. Jones leads the team on the glass with 9.1 rebounds per game.

Vanderbilt also makes 8.5 threes per game, shoots 42.4% from beyond-the-arc, and outrebounds opponents by a margin of +5.8. VU also shoots 77.9% from the charity stripe at Memorial Gym.

Jeffery Taylor scored a team-high 20 points and Lance Goulbourne scored 16 points and grabbed a Stallings-era best 17 rebounds as Vanderbilt knocked off LSU, 90-69, Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge. John Jenkins (17), Brad Tinsley (16), and Festus Ezeli (15) also added double figures for the Commodores.

Brad Tinsley’s three-pointer at the 16:25 mark in the first half pushed Vanderbilt’s three-point streak to 790 consecutive games with a three.

Jeffery Taylor led the Commodores with 20 points. It was his 21st double-figure scoring game this season and the 67th of his career. It was also his fifth 20-point game of the season and ninth of his career.
– Taylor also added three assists, two rebounds, and two steals.
John Jenkins (17), Brad Tinsley (16), Lance Goulbourne (16), and Festus Ezeli (15) also added double figures.
– First time Vanderbilt has had five double figure scorers since January 19, 2011 against Ole Miss (Jenkins, Ezeli, Taylor, Goulbourne, Tinsley).
– Also first time VU has had at least four players with 15 or more points since November 22, 2005 against UNC Greensboro (Julian Terrell, Shan Foster, Derrick Byars, DeMarre Carroll).
– Jenkins has scored in double figures in all 27 games he has played in this season.
– Tinsley’s 16 points tied his single-season high in an SEC game…he also scored 16 points at Auburn on February 19.
– Tinsley was 7-for-10 from the field. The seven field goals tied a career high.
– Tinsley had five assists for the 13th time this season and the 23rd time of his career. Tinsley leads the SEC in assists in all games.
Lance Goulbourne’s 17 rebounds is a new career-high, and is a new single-game high in the Stallings era.
Festus Ezeli scored 15 points and had six blocks against LSU. His six blocks put him one behind Will Perdue for the all-time single-season record with 73. Perdue had 74 in 1987-88.
– Ezeli’s six blocks is his eighth game this year where he has had four or more blocks. He has had 22 blocks in his last four games (4.5 per game).
– Sophomore Jordan Smart tallied the first made three-pointer of his career in SEC play.
