FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Vanderbilt track and field team continues competition this weekend at the SEC Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
The three-day event began Friday with the women’s pentathon and men’s heptathon events and concludes Sunday evening with the 1600m relay. The first event that a Vanderbilt athlete is competing in is the preliminary of the 60m dash at 2:50 p.m., where Anna Carr Hawkins will look to improve on her personal best time.
Rita Jorgensen will race in the preliminaries of the one mile run at 3:30 p.m., followed by Teegan Hill in the 400 meter dash at 4:15. Freshmen Brionne Williams and Ellie Tidman will look to improve on personal best heights set throughout the season in the high jump at 4:10. Kristen Findley is set to compete in the 800 meter race at 4:50.
Hawkins will also compete in the 200 meter race at 5:45. In the final race on Saturday, Liz Anderson, Adrienne DiRaddo, Louise Hannallah, Allie Scalf and Megan Yohe will compete in the 3000 meter race.
On Sunday, Vanderbilt will compete in the pole vault, 5000 meter race and the distance medley relay.
