Starting Lineup
– Vanderbilt started freshman Jasmine Lister, sophomore Tiffany Clarke, junior Angela Puleo and seniors Hannah Tuomi and Jence Rhoads.
– Vanderbilt used this starting lineup for the second-consecutive game.
Hannah Tuomi made her team-leading 105th career start and 116th appearance while Jence Rhoads made her team-leading 121st appearance and 101st start.
– Lister has started every game this season.
– Puleo made her second-consecutive start and third of the year.
– Clarke started for the seventh time this season and 22nd of her career.

Postgame Notes:
– Vanderbilt improves to 22-16 against LSU and now holds an 11-3 record when playing at home.
– Melanie Balcomb is 8-5 against the Tigers and 5-1 when playing in Memorial Gym.
– For the first time this season, the Commodores did not attempt a three-point field goal in the second half.
– The Commodores improve to 12-0 at home, marking the first time since the 2001-02 season they have started 12-0.
– The 12-0 start is the best in school history and the third time the team has accomplished the feat.
– Vanderbilt’s 55 points are the fewest since losing to No. 4 Tennessee 49-68 in the SEC Tournament on March 6, 2010.
– The 55 points marked the fewest points the Commodores have scored in a victory since beating Auburn 49-44 on February 28, 2008 in the SEC Tournament.
– The five-point margin of victory is the smallest since Vanderbilt beat LSU 63-61 on March 5, 2010 in the SEC Tournament.
– Vanderbilt shot a season-high 66.7% (2-for-3) from the three-point line, the highest percentage since shooting 75.0% (9-for-12) in a win against Ole Miss on January 3, 2010.
– For the second time this season and first since beating Western Kentucky on December 21, 2010, the Commodores made a season-low two three-pointers.
– The three three-point field goal attempts are the least Vanderbilt has attempted this season.
– This also marked the first time Vanderbilt did not make a three-pointer in a half.
– Vanderbilt held LSU to one three-point field goal, the third time the Commodores have held an opponent to one this season. The tigers join Western Kentucky and Delaware on the list.
– The ‘Dores held the Tigers to 6.7% (1-for-15) shooting from beyond the arc, the lowest percentage an opponent has had this season, breaking the previous mark of 7.7% (1-for-13) that Western Kentucky shot.
– Vanderbilt’s 53.3% (24-for-45) shooting from the field is the highest percentage a team has shot against LSU this season.
– Vanderbilt moves to 5-1 when shooting 50.0% or better in the first half with the one loss coming to Bowling Green on December 1, 2010.
– This marked the fourth time this season the Commodores have shot 50.0% or better in the first half against an SEC opponent.
– The two three-point field goal attempts were the least the Commodores had this season in the first half, one lower than the previous low set against Bowling Green and Kentucky.

First-half notes:
– The Commodores won the opening tipoff.
Jasmine Lister made a layup at the 18:36 mark to record the first points of the game.
Angela Puleo made the first three-pointer of the game to give the ‘Dores a 7-0 lead with 15:28 remaining.
Stephanie Holzer recorded the first bench points for Vanderbilt when she made a mid-range jumper with 13:15 on the clock.
– With the game tied at 11 and 9:36 remaining in the half, Jence Rhoads drove the lane for a layup to give the Commodores a two-point lead.
– The Commodores closed out the half with an 11-4 run that spanned 6:17 that included a three-pointer from Jasmine Lister and four points from Stephanie Holzer.
– At the half, Stephanie Holzer leads Vanderbilt is scoring with 12 points while Jence Rhoads has a team-high three assists.

Second-half notes:
Tiffany Clarke opened up the second half with a jumper to give Vanderbilt a 30-21 lead.
Jasmine Lister made a fastbreak layup to give Vanderbilt a 40-33 lead with 12:18 remaining.
– With the game tied at 40, Stephanie Holzer made a mid-range jumper at the 8:27 mark that sparked a 12-3 run that spanned five and a half minutes.

Player notes:
Jence Rhoads became the fifth player in Vanderbilt history to reach 500 or more assists, marking the first Commodore to join the club since Dee Davis accomplished the feat during her tenure from 2004 to 2007.
Stephanie Holzer had a career-high 23 points against an SEC foe, topping her previous high of 17 set against Alabama on January 13.
– Holzer recorded her third 20-point game of the season and the first since scoring 26 against Samford on November 18, 2010.
– Holzer had a career-high 10 field goals and 17 field goal attempts against an SEC opponent, breaking her previous highs of seven and ten.
Jence Rhoads has now grabbed four rebounds or more in 16-consecutive games.
Gabby Smith failed to score for the first time since playing Ole Miss on January 2, a span of seven games.
