The Commodores continue practice this week in preparation for the team’s first game at San Diego on February 18. VU is ranked in the Top 5 of all four preseason polls, most recently earning the fourth-spot on the NCBWAA’s poll.
The team’s annual Baseball Banquet will be February 12 at 7 p.m. inside the Student Life Center across from Memorial Gym. Ticket prices have been cut in half for this year’s event and a child’s ticket has been added. Adult tickets will be $30 and children tickets (13 and under) will be $25. Season tickets for the 2011 baseball season will include a new Family Plan, which includes two adult and two youth tickets in the outfield for only $199. Other season ticket options include, premium reserved seating behind home plate for $170, regular reserved seating down the lines for $135 and outfield season tickets for $75.
