NASHVILLE — Vanderbilt Football Head Coach James Franklin will cap a series of National Signing Day activities next Wednesday, February 2 by hosting a public celebration on-campus to introduce the Commodores’ Class of 2011 football commitments.
Franklin will welcome Commodore fans at the free event in the Student Life Center located directly across 25th Avenue from Memorial Gym. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with Franklin expected to begin his remarks on the 2011 signing class at 6:30 p.m.
The public celebration of Franklin’s initial recruiting class is the most significant schedule change this year as Commodore followers seek to learn the latest on Vanderbilt’s newest signing class.
As in the past, Vanderbilt Athletics’ official information source, VUcommodores.com, will present complete coverage of National Signing Day for football followers starting as early as 7 a.m., CT on Wednesday, February 2.

Immediate Notifications Starting Early Wednesday
Once a National Letter of Intent (NLI) is received from a signee, VUcommodores.com will provide immediate notification and the time that the letter was received. (Please note that a VU compliance official must review all NLI’s before we can release the prospect’s name.)
Franklin’s Public Celebration of Signing Class
Doors at the Student Life Center open at 5:30 p.m., with Head Coach James Franklin expected to introduce the class publicly starting at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Students, faculty, season ticket holders and fans of the Commodores are invited to this free event.
