Starting Lineup
– Vanderbilt started junior Brad Tinsley and sophomore John Jenkins at guard, juniors Jeffery Taylor and Lance Goulbourne at forward and junior Festus Ezeli at center.

First-half notes:
– Vanderbilt won the opening tipoff and Jeffery Taylor hit a mid-range jumper at the 19:49 mark to record the first points of the game.
– The Commodores move to 12-1 when winning the opening tip.
– With 17:17 remaining, Lance Goulbourne hit a three-pointer to give the Commodores a 9-2 lead and extend the three-point streak.
– Rod Odom made a jumper at the 11:36 mark to give Vanderbilt its first bench points of the game and take a 19-15 lead.
– After being held scoreless for two minutes and trailing by three, Festus Ezeli got to the foul line and made both free throws to cut the Rebels lead to 34-33.
