Starting Lineup
– Vanderbilt started freshman Jasmine Lister, sophomore Gabby Smith, junior Jordan Coleman and seniors Hannah Tuomi and Jence Rhoads.
– This marked the fourth time the Commodores have used this starting lineup and are now 3-1 when doing so.
– Vanderbilt has used eight different starting lineups this season.
Hannah Tuomi made her team-leading 101st career start and 112th appearance while Jence Rhoads made her team-leading 117th appearance and 97th start.
– Coleman made her 12th career start and 43rd appearance.
– Smith made her 11th start of the season and 16th of her career.
– Lister and Tuomi are the only two players to start all 17 games this season.

Postgame Notes:
– Vanderbilt falls to 7-56 against the University of Tennessee and 0-26 when playing in Knoxville.
– Melanie Bacomb now holds a 1-19 record against the Lady Vols.
Jence Rhoads’ 10 points make her the 33rd player in Vanderbilt history to reach 1,000 points and she now is tied for 32nd on the all-time scoring list with 1,003-career points.
– Vanderbilt’s 56 points are the fewest since recording 39 against LSU on February 18, 2010.
– The Commodores’ 18.9% (7-37) from the field in the first half is the lowest percentage of the season with the previous low being 30.6% (11-36) set against Mississippi State on January 6.
– Vanderbilt’s 17 first half points are the least it has scored in any half since only putting up 15 against LSU in the second half on February 18, 2010.
– The 17 points in the first half are the fewest first-half points the Commodores have had since scoring 10 against LSU on January 13, 2008.
– For the third game this season, Vanderbilt was held to a season-low one three-point field goal in the first half with the other games being against Auburn and Western Kentucky.
– For the second time this year, the Commodores held an opponent to a season-low three steals with Southern Illinois being the other team.
– Vanderbilt’s 33.3% (24-72) shooting from the field was the lowest percentage since shooting 31.7% (20-63) against Tennessee on March 6, 2010.
– The Commodores’ 10 steals marked the third time this season they have recorded double-digit steals.
– Vanderbilt’s 72 field goal attempts were the most in an SEC game this season, topping the previous high of 67 set against Ole Miss on January 2.
– The attendance was 17,853 for the women’s game and Thompson-Boling arena totaled 39,051 fans between the men’s and women’s games.

First-half notes:
Jasmine Lister scored the first of the game when she drove in for a layup at the 18:13 mark.
– With 6:49 remaining, Hannah Tuomi put in a jumper to give Vanderbilt its first field goal in nine and a half minutes and cut the Tennessee lead to 21-7.
– Trailing 24-12, Hannah Tuomi made a basket in the paint with 2:49 remaining to cut the Lady Vols’ lead to 10.
Christina Foggie recorded the first points for the bench as well as the first Vanderbilt three-pointer with 11 seconds remaining.
Jence Rhoads has a team-high six points while Hannah Tuomi has a team-leading four rebounds.

Second-half notes:
Jasmine Lister opened up the second half by making a mid-range jumper at the 19:31 mark to cut the Tennessee lead to 29-19.
Stephanie Holzer recorded her first points of the game by putting in a shot under the basket with 14:41 remaining.
– With 10:37 remaining, Christina Foggie made a three-pointer to cut the Tennessee lead to 50-33.
– The Commodores went on an two minute, 9-0 run that began with a Stephanie Holzer layup with 8:25 remaining.
Jence Rhoads made a jumper with 4:10 remaining to reach 1,001 points in her career.

Player notes:
Jence Rhoads has now recorded an assist in 114 of her 117 career games. All three games she did not record an assist came during her freshman season.
– Rhoads played the full 40 minutes for the tenth time in her career and first time this season.
Jasmine Lister has scored in double-figures in 15 games this season.
Christina Foggie’s 13 points were a career-high in an SEC game.
