MBB shootaround at Mizzou

Dec. 8, 2010

The Vanderbilt basketball team went over to Mizzou Arena for their pregame shootaround on Wednesday afternoon for their game with the Tigers at 8 p.m. A reminder that the game will be televised on ESPNU.

Some things that are of interest in the video…
1. Mizzou Arena is a five-year old building that seats over 15,000, and it’s a beautiful piece of architecture.
2. Check out the Voice of the Commodores, Joe Fisher, doing some rebounding in the early parts of the video.  We all like to get out there and watch the balls go through the net.
3. There are windows at the top of the arena which let in natural light…don’t know if you can see them or not, but at the end of the shootaround our players were wondering what it would be like if we played in the day.  The light is actually pretty blinding, especially for the visiting bench (shocker, right?).
4. The section to the bench’s immediate right tonight is the student section, and it’s a large one.  It’s the area with the M painted on the bleachers.
