Pregame Notes
– Vanderbilt is in its 121st year of organized football.
– The Commodores wore gold pants with white jerseys … It is the first time Vanderbilt has worn this jersey combination since Oct. 24, 2009 at South Carolina.

– Tonight marked the eighth meeting between Vanderbilt and Arkansas.
– Arkansas leads the all-time series 6-2 … Arkansas is 4-1 against Vanderbilt since the Razorbacks joined the SEC in 1991 … Vanderbilt is 0-3 when playing a ranked Arkansas team.
– Both of Vanderbilt’s wins in the series have come at Arkansas.
– Vanderbilt is 2-3 all-time in Fayetteville, Ark.

Individual Notes
– Cornerback Casey Hayward is the team’s active leader with 20 consecutive starts.
– Defensive tackle T.J. Greenstone made his first start since the Ole Miss game on Sept. 18.
– Wide receiver Tray Herndon made the first start of his career.
– On Vanderbilt’s first series in the second quarter and third of the game, quarterback Jared Funk entered the game.
Defense
– Defensive tackle Rob Lohr had his third sack of the season on Arkansas’ first possession … Lohr’s three sacks lead the team … It was the second straight game with a sack for Lohr.
– Linebacker Chris Marve’s sack in the second quarter was his first of the year and fifth of his career … It was Marve’s first sack since Vanderbilt’s first game of the 2009 season against Western Carolina.
– Marve finished the game with 10 tackles, reaching double figures in stops for the fourth time this season.
– Safety Sean Richardson’s three pass breakups were a career high … He now has three pass breakups this season.
– Cornerback Casey Hayward tied a season high with nine tackles … It was the third time this season he has made nine tackles.
– With five solo stops, Hayward set a single-season career high in solo tackles, surpassing his 40 stops last year … Hayward has 42 solo stops this season.
– Defensive back Eric Samuels had a career-high six tackles.
Offense
– On the second play of the game and Warren Norman’s second carry of the game, Norman had a 51-yard rush … The run was Norman’s second longest of the season … In Vanderbilt’s game against South Carolina last week, Norman rushed for 40 yards on the team’s first play of the game.
– Jonathan Krause scored on a 21-yard carry with 11:00 to play in the first quarter to give VU a 7-0 lead … It was Krause’s fourth carry of the season and second touchdown (Connecticut) … Krause’s last touchdown rush was 44 yards.
– Quarterback Larry Smith connected with Brandon Barden for a six-yard touchdown pass with 2:53 to play in the first quarter.
– The touchdown by Barden was his third of the season, which leads the team … It was also Barden’s first touchdown against an SEC opponent since Oct. 17, 2009 against Georgia.
– The touchdown pass to Barden was Larry Smith’s sixth of the season and the first time this season Vanderbilt has thrown a touchdown pass in the first quarter this season.
– Smith’s first quarter touchdown pass was also Smith’s first against an SEC opponent since Oct. 17, 2009 against Georgia … It was also Smith’s first touchdown pass of his career on the road in the SEC.
– Quarterback Jared Funk threw the first interception of his career … The interception resulted in an Arkansas touchdown, which put the Razorbacks ahead for the first time, 20-14.
Special Teams
– Warren Norman’s 40-yard kick return in the first quarter was his second longest of the season.
– Eric Samuels’ 46-yard kick return in the second quarter was the longest of his career … His previous long was 44 yards.
– Richard Kent’s 62-yard punt in the fourth quarter was the longest of his career, surpassing his 60-yard punt against South Carolina.
