Dore bowlers at Junior Gold

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Jessica Earnest was the early day pace setter for a big contingent of Vanderbilt bowlers at the annual Junior Gold Championship Monday.

Earnest was in 46th place out of a huge field of 352 bowlers in this week-long contest of skill and endurance. The bowlers roll six games a day until cuts are made later in the week.

Vanderbilt All-American Brittni Hamilton and rising sophomore Sarah O’Brien were bowling in night sessions and their results were not available at this posting. Complete results can be found on bowl.com by clicking here.

Other Commodores in action were Kim Carper, who averaged 184.5 over her six games; Courtney Morgan, who averaged 158.67 and Lauren Rhein, averaging 149.33 her first day.

Alabama A & M bowler Addileen Pointer had a career day to lead the pack with a 220.17 average.
