June 1, 2010

The Vanderbilt Athletics Department has announced a chartered bus trip to watch the Commodore Baseball team play on Saturday at the NCAA Regional Tournament held at the University of Louisville. Fans will have the opportunity to be on site to support Head Coach Tim Corbin and the Commodores as they take the first steps in the battle to get to Omaha.

The National Commodore Club will provide complimentary soft drinks and snacks for the bus trip. The bus will return to the McGugin Center immediately following the completion of Saturday’s game.

Fans interested in the bus trip must place their orders with the Vanderbilt Ticket Office by noon on Thursday, June 3rd and a minimum of 25 people must purchase in order for the bus trip to take place. Fans can call 615-322-GOLD to order.

“Having Commodore fans in the stands up in Louisville is critical to the success of our team. We hope that a large group of fans take advantage of the opportunity to travel and see us play,” Corbin said.

Departure time on Saturday will be determined by the result of the Commodores game on Friday. If Vanderbilt wins on Friday, the bus will depart the McGugin Center at 10:30 am. Should the Commodores lose on Friday, the bus will depart at 6:30 am.
