– The Commodores are now 18-11 in the SEC Tournament tourney under Head Coach Tim Corbin.

– Vanderbilt grounded into four double plays tonight. Prior to tonight VU had grounded into zero double plays in the first two games of the 2010 SEC Tournament.

– Vanderbilt is now 6-1 all-time against Florida in the SEC Tournament, including a 7-3 win in the opening game of the 2008 tourney.

– Florida now leads the all-time series with Vanderbilt 120-62-1. VU is 14-13 against the Gators under head coach Tim Corbin.

– In the last six meetings with Florida, the two teams have split three games apiece.

Aaron Westlake went 2-for-4 Friday, giving him a team best .556 average for the Tournament. In three games, Westlake was 5-for-9 with 2 RBI, a home run, a double, and 3 runs scored.

Richie Goodenow threw his second longest outing of the year on Friday, allowing just two hits in 3.2 scoreless innings. Goodenow struck out three and walked one. For the tournament, Goodenow threw 4.1 innings of scoreless relief.

Drew Hayes threw the ninth-inning for VU striking out all three of the batters he faced.

Bryan Johns went 2-for-3 tonight with a double and a walk. In four games against Florida this year, Johns hit .500. Johns now

– Johns, Westlake, and Gomez led VU with two hits a piece on Friday.

– Westlake is now tied for the team lead with 23 multiple hit games. Gomez recorded his 20th multi-hit game of the year while Johns registered his 14th.
