* Jack Armstong got the start for Vanderbilt and gave up five runs, four earned, on five hits with three strikeouts over 2.1 innings pitched
* Relievers Chase Reid, Grayson Gavin and Drew Hayes combine to pitch 6.2 innings and gave up only two runs on three hits.
* Grayson Gavin tied his career-high in striketouts in a contest with five. He previously had five strikeouts against Lipscomb on Mar. 10, 2009.
* Brian Harris was hit by his 33rd pitch of the season in the bottom of the sixth inning.
* Aaron Westlake hit his 11th home run of the season, a career-high, in the bottom of the seventh inning. It’s also the team-high and the third consecutive game he has hit at least one home run in a contest.
* Bryan Johns drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to drive in his 20th run of the season.
* Harris also got a walk with the bases loaded in the seventh for his 33rd RBI of the year.
* Anthony Gomez’s solo home run in the bottom of the ninth was his second home run of the season.
* Jason Esposito hit his team-leading 22nd double of the season in the bottom of the ninth.
* Curt Casali finished the contest with two hits, his 15th multi-hit game of the season
* Andrew Giobbi had two hits in the game, his 21st multi-hit game of the season.
