COLUMBUS, Ohio — Vanderbilt will be the final team to open postseason play at the 2010 American Lacrosse Conference Tournament Friday, facing off against Florida in a semifinal at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
The opening draw is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CT.
Vanderbilt is the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament after posting a 4-1 record in league play this year. The Commodores will face the No. 6 seeded Gators, who defeated No. 3 seed Johns Hopkins on Thursday, 14-3.
Friday’s first semifinal features top seed Northwestern and Penn State. The Nittany Lions defeated host Ohio State, 14-12. The Northwestern-Penn State match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. CT.
Vanderbilt’s Friday match will be streamed live on ohiostatebuckeyes.com for free. Saturday’s final is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT, and will be available on bigtennetwork.com for a nominal fee. The championship will also be shown on a tape delay basis by the Big Ten Network at 9 p.m. CT Saturday.
