TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Vanderbilt men’s golf team will be looking to defend last year’s tournament championship at the 2010 Seminole Intercollegiate this Friday through Sunday.
The Commodores also have a chance to capture back-to-back team titles following on the heels of a shared championship at the 2010 Samford Invitational, where Vanderbilt and host Samford tied for team honors.
The 14-team field will take on the SouthWood Golf Course in Tallahassee starting at 7:30 a.m. ET Friday. Vanderbilt is scheduled to tee off from the 10th tee at 8 a.m. along with George Mason and Mercer.
Head Coach Tom Shaw has made only one change to his starting lineup for this weekend’s event, with freshman Will Snipes joining seniors Hudson Johnson and Chris Rockwell, junior Ryan Haselden and sophomore Trey DelGreco.
DelGreco and Johnson both finished in the Top 10 at Samford to propel the Commodores to victory. Haselden won individual medalist honors a year ago in the 2009 Seminole Intercollegiate by eagling the tournament’s 54th hole.
The event features 54 holes spread over three days on the Fred Couples-designed SouthWood Golf Course. Live scoring and complete results of the event will be available at http://golfstatresults.com/public/index.cfm?tournament_id=1814
