WG heads to Kinderlou Challenge

The Vanderbilt women’s golf team will participate in their first tournament of the spring, when the team heads to Valdosta, Ga., for the Kinderlou Forest Challenge March 1 and 2. The tournament will take place at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club and is hosted by the University of Kentucky and Kennesaw State University.

The Kinderlou course will be set up as a par-73, 6,265-yard layout for the 15 teams in attendance. Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Tulane, Chattanooga, Florida State, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Ohio State, Georgia, South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi State, and Kent State will join the hosts Kentucky and Kennesaw State for the two-day event.

Making the trip for the Commodores is junior Megan Grehan, sophomores Marina Alex and Andrea Messer, and freshmen Anna Leigh Keith and Lauren Stratton.

The tournament begins with a shotgun start on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time, with 36 holes scheduled for the opening day of competition. The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday, with another 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
