– With the loss, Head Coach Kevin Stallings is now 209-134 at Vanderbilt … He is second in school history in career wins and trails only Roy Skinner (278 wins) … With the team’s win against Manhattan on Dec. 30, Stallings moved into second place among all-time wins leaders at Vanderbilt, surpassing Bob Polk’s 197 wins.
– Jeffery Taylor scored 17 points to reach double figures in scoring for the 21st time this season and 42nd time in his career … He has now scored in double figures in four straight games … Vanderbilt is now 16-5 this season when Taylor scores in double figures.
– For the second game in a row Steve Tchiengang set a new career high in rebounds … After grabbing seven at Ole Miss, Tchiengang had a career-best 8 against Kentucky.
– Brad Tinsley tied a career and season high with six rebounds.
