WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — After finishing in the Top 50 of last month’s PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, Vanderbilt alumnus Luke List has earned fully exempt status for the Nationwide Tour in 2010.
The 30-event schedule is slated to begin at the end of January in Queenstown, New Zealand. The tour will stop in Australia before making a Latin American swing through Panama and Colombia. The weekend of June 13th will bring the Nationwide Tour to Tennessee for the Knoxville Open at Fox Den Country Club.
List was competing in “Q-School” for the third time in his young career. The Ringgold, Ga., native finished fifth in the first stage at Pinewild Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C., before tying for seventh in the second stage at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.
The final qualifying stage was played over six days at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. List shot five-under to tie for 42nd place in the event. The top 25 players at Q-School earn their PGA Tour cards, with the next 50 receiving their Nationwide cards.
