NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 14th-ranked Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will play host to a pair of non-conference games this weekend when Bowling Green and Western Kentucky visit Memorial Gymnasium.

The Commodores will play Mid-American Conference power Bowling Green on Friday at 7 p.m. CT, with nearby Sun Belt foe Western Kentucky coming to Nashville for a 2 p.m. Sunday tip.

Vanderbilt is 7-0 for the sixth time in school history after winning at Wright State, 63-46, on Wednesday. Senior guard Merideth Marsh, the reigning Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, led the Commodores with 21 points against the Raiders.

Bowling Green (4-2) comes into Friday’s matchup on a three-game winning streak. The Falcons are paced by Lauren Prochaska’s 15.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

Vanderbilt is 2-1 all-time against Bowling Green, with the lone loss coming in the 2007 NCAA Tournament. The Commodores were a No. 2 seed that year, knocked off in the second round by the seventh-seeded Falcons.

Sunday’s game against Western Kentucky is the 31st matchup between two schools separated by about 60 miles. Vanderbilt holds an 18-12 advantage in the series, and has won the last four meetings.

The Lady Toppers (4-2) rebounded from a pair of losses in Cancun to defeat North Dakota on Wednesday. WKU is led by Amy McNear’s 10.5 points per game.

Vanderbilt student-athletes will host a post-game clinic on the main floor at Memorial Gym, which is free for any children in attendance at Sunday’s game.

Tickets are available for both contests this weekend. Commodore season tickets, which include Vanderbilt’s remaining 12 games, begin at $32 and are available through the Vanderbilt Ticket Office. Tickets may be purchased online anytime at vucommodores.com, by phone at 615-322-GOLD (5643) or in person at the McGugin Center on campus during regular business hours.
