* This is the fourth matchup between the Bowling Green Falcons and the Vanderbilt Commodores. Vanderbilt won the first two meetings, but Bowling Green upset the Commodores in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament.

First Half:
* Bowling Green started the game with powerful defense, holding the Commodores scoreless before a strong layup by Hannah Tuomi at the 16:53 mark put the Commodores on the board.
* Jence Rhoads stopped a 14-0 Falcon run with a quick jumper at the 12:42 mark.
* The Commodores went on a 7-0 run to cut down Bowling Green’s lead to 13, ending at the 9:35 mark.
* A clutch steal by Elan Brown at the 9:13 mark inched Vanderbilt closer to the Falcons, feeding it to Hannah Tuomi for a jumper inside the paint.
* Lauren Lueders had the first 3-pointer of the night for the Commodores at the 3:12 mark. This is her 11th of the year and 86th of her career.
* Vanderbilt pulled within 10 off of two free throws from the hot hand of Lauren Lueders. Vanderbilt trailed by as many as 18 in the half.
* Hannah Tuomi led VU with nine points.

Second Half:
* Vanderbilt had the first points of the half, a fast-break layup by Jessica Mooney at the 19:22 mark.
* The Commodores went on a 6-0 run to start the second half.
* Jence Rhoads went end to end for the Commodores, grabbing a much-needed rebound, scoring a fast-break layup, and pulling down another defensive rebound within 10 seconds.
* Lauren Lueders continued her dominance in the paint with an offensive rebound and layup at the 12:30 mark, pulling Vanderbilt within eight points.
* Jence Rhoads hit a clutch 3-pointer at the 10:09 mark to bring Vanderbilt within five.
* Vanderbilt went on a 19-9 run in the middle of the second half.
* Jessica Mooney had a steal at the 6:29 mark, dishing the ball to Jence Rhoads for a fast-break layup, pulling the Commodores within two.
* Lauren Lueders hit a 3-pointer at the 4:24 mark, closing the gap to one point.
* Vanderbilt gained its first lead of the game at the 3:25 mark with a layup by Jence Rhoads, off a perfect assist by Merideth Marsh. This would be Vanderbilt’s only lead of the game.

Postgame Notes:
* With the loss, Vanderbilt falls to 7-1 on the season. Bowling Green moves to 5-2.
* Bowling Green’s Tracy Pontius led all scorers with 19 points. Jence Rhoads led VU with 17 points, one shy of her career high. Lauren Lueders followed with 11 and 7 rebounds.
* Vanderbilt missed its last eight shots of the contest.
