The Commodores fall to 2-9 overall. They are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak that dates to 36-17 win at Rice on Sept. 26. The Commodores are also 0-7 in Southeastern Conference play, one year after going 4-4 in league action.

Team Superlatives
– The Commodores’ 13-point total in the first half was their highest scoring output against an SEC opponent this season.

Individual Superlatives
Warren Norman inched closer to Herschel Walker’s SEC freshman record for all-purpose yards. Norman remains in second with 1,789 yards.
Mackenzi Adams finished his senior day going 11-for-24 for 127 yards with one interception and 17 rushing yards.
Chris Marve reached the 100-tackle mark this season, with his 13 tackles pushing him to a career-high of 110 tackles on the year. He also contributed a tackle for loss of two yards.
– Two other Commodores were in double digit figures in tackles. Sean Richardson contributed 11 tackles on the day, including a tackle for a loss of four yards, and Brent Trice had 10 tackles on the day.
Brett Upson averaged 47.1 yards on eight punts, continuing his excellent form.
John Cole, a native of Somerset, Ky., had 5 catches for 61 yards, including his first receiving touchdown of his career.
Zac Stacy moved into 9th place all-time among freshman rushers with 21 yards on 9 carries. He also contributed two catches for 19 yards.

Second Half
– Vanderbilt was unable to get their offense moving in the second half, with Kentucky’s defense holding the Commodores to less than six minutes of possession.
– The Commodores’ special teams shined in the second half, with Brett Upson leading the way with five punts for 229 yards, averaging 45.8 per punt.
Brent Trice contributed six tackles in the second half, including teaming up with fellow senior Myron Lewis for a tackle for loss of three yards.
John Stokes was on fire defensively later in the game, with seven out of his eight tackles coming in the second half.

First Half
Ryan Fowler hit a 42-yard line field with 3:01 left in the first quarter. He has hit seven of his last eight field goal attempts. Early in the second quarter, Fowler hit from 47 yards. Both were career long efforts.
– Freshman DB Eddie Foster intercepted a deflected Kentucky pass with 1:25 left in the first quarter, his second of the year, and the team’s first interception in nearly 13 quarters dating back to the Georgia game on Oct. 17.
– With 3:45 left in the second quarter, DB Myron Lewis notched his 10th career interception, giving Vanderbilt possession at the UK 20-yard line. Two plays later, QB Mackenzi Adams hit WR John Cole with a 21-yard TD catch.
– Adams connected on 10 of 17 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.
