ORLANDO, Fla. — Sisters Josie and Jessica Earnest both had excellent starts Monday in the 47th Annual Lee Evans Tournament for the Americas.
Josie Earnest rolled a 1,299 score to lead Mexico’s Ilana Lomeli by 44 pins in the Adult Women’s bracket. She had 685-614 series with a high game of 243.
Jessica Earnest, an incoming Commodore freshman, was even stronger in putting together series of 670-716-1,386 to seize a commanding 208 pin lead over fellow United States competitor Dana Galganski. Jessica had efforts of 278, 248 and 256 among her six games.
