Vanderbilt Head Coach Bobby Johnson and members of the football staff gathered at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center on Tuesday for the annual Vanderbilt Faculty/Staff Cookout.
More than 500 Vanderbilt employees attended the event in which provided staff members the opportunity to eat hot dogs and chips with Coach Johnson as well as take photos, talk football and get autographs.
Vanderbilt is a little more than a week away from beginning fall practice on Aug. 7 and just over a month away from its season opener against Western Carolina at 6:30 p.m. CT on Sept. 5. The Commodores will host Dore Jam, the team’s annual fan day, on Aug. 16 from 4-6 p.m. The event enables fans to meet players and coaches in addition to taking photographs and receiving autographs.
