NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vice Chancellor for University Affairs and Student Athletics David Williams will announce Vanderbilt’s 2009 Hall of Fame Class at a news gathering next Tuesday, July 21. The conference will start at 2:00 p.m. CT from the McGugin Center. Commodore fans will have the opportunity to watch the event live on VUcommodores.com via All Access.
This class will again include some of the all-time greats in Vanderbilt athletic history, some of whom will be on hand for this announcement.
The entire class will be back on campus for Hall of Fame Weekend Sept. 4-5 as the Commodores open their season with Western Carolina. The Hall of Fame Induction will occur Friday evening at the Vanderbilt Marriott and introduced to the crowd at Saturday’s game.
This is Vanderbilt’s second Hall of Fame class. Last year’s induction banquet drew a capacity crowd of over 400.
