“We just need to put this game behind us. Our team knows that it’s a five-game tournament for us now, but you can’t look at that way when you get into tomorrow’s game. We have to take it one game at a time. We were in a similar situation in 2007 and I have been apart of teams at Clemson that were in this situation.”
“We need to get on the bus, get some rest and put this behind us. We will come back ready to play tomorrow.”
“We have enough pitching to last in this tournament. Today’s game was obviously a tough loss because it was a one-run ballgame and we left a lot of runners in scoring position that we didn’t drive in.”
“Tomorrow’s a fresh start and if we are meant to continue to play than we will have a good attitude tomorrow.”

“They hit good pitches and I left some pitches over the plate.”
“I thought I pitched pretty well after the first inning. I gave up that home run in the seventh but I have to give him credit because he made a good a swing in the zone. We had our chances in the end but we couldn’t quite pull it out.”
“Our team will bounce back from this and we will be ready tomorrow. We will keep our heads up after a tough one today.”
“I thought I pitched well enough to win after the first inning, but a four-spot in the first inning is not going to cut it in the postseason.”

“We had our opportunities in the last inning. Jonathan White’s leadoff double was huge and than Curt got on but we couldn’t come up with the big hit to score the runs. I think if we are in that situation again we will capitalize on our opportunities.”
“I knew the umpire had a smaller zone today so I used that as an advantage. He was making good pitches but I was able to get ahead in the count and get some good pitches to hit.”

“This is a great win for our team. Any win from here on out is a big win and like the other three teams here we are trying to win the Regional.”
“We have never faced Minor in college but I have seen Minor pitch since he was in high school and he is a very good pitcher and competitor but he didn’t have his best stuff in the first two innings. It is uncharacteristic for someone that can throw three pitches for strikes to leave the ball up and our hitters took advantage of that. I told our team that we needed to take advantage of that early before he found a groove.”
“I thought for the most part Kenneth Roberts pitched pretty well. Except for walking a few batters he did a good job. He thought a few of those pitches that he made were strikes but the home plate umpire saw it differently.”

“I fell behind early in the count to a lot of their hitters and the zone was tight. It helps as pitcher when your offense gives you a 4-0 lead right out of the gates, especially when you are facing a pitcher that is as good as Minor.”
