*Wednesday’s game marks the first meeting of the year between LSU and Vanderbilt.

*Vanderbilt improves to 10-7 against LSU under head coach Tim Corbin. The Commodores have won six of the last eight meetings between the two schools.

*Vanderbilt improves to 15-8 in the SEC Tournament under Coach Corbin. This marks the sixth SEC Tournament in the last seven years for Vanderbilt.

*With Mike Minor’s four strikeouts he became the fifth pitcher in the SEC this season to strikeout at least 100 (103) batters this season. Minor moved into fourth-place in the school’s career strikeout leaders with 292.

*Vanderbilt’s Steven Liddle recorded his team-high 24th multi-hit game of the season with a 2-for-4 effort Wednesday while Casali posted his 12th multi-RBI game of the year.

*Aaron Westlake’s 10-game hitting streak was snapped while Brian Harris snapped his seven-game hitting streak.

*Vanderbilt enters the SEC Tournament on a four-game losing streak. VU has lost four games in a row three different times this year.

*Andrew Giobbi’s three hits were the most he has had in an SEC Tournament game in his career. Giobbi’s fourth-inning solo homerun marked the fifth this year and ninth of his career. Giobbi’s five homeruns in a single season is the most of his career.

*Minor complete-game outing gives him his 12th quality start in 14 starts this season. Minor went 5.2 innings in his only two non-quality starts of the season. The junior left-hander has now thrown a league-leading 99.0 innings this season.

*Minor is now 3-0 in three starts in the SEC Tournament in his career. The junior from Chapel Hill, Tenn., has allowed only six runs while striking out 16 in 21.2 innings in the SEC Tournament in his career.

*VU’s Minor has gone at least 7.2 innings in four of his last five starts.

*Minor’s complete game was the second in his last three starts and fourth of his career.

*With the win Minor moves into a tie for seventh place all-time in career wins in Vanderbilt history with 22 (Tied with David Price and Rick Rhodes).

*LSU leads the all-time series with Vanderbilt 48-31. The Tigers are now 3-1 against VU in the SEC Tournament. LSU is 2-4 against VU under head coach Paul Mainieri.
