BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With the ending of the Southeastern Conference regular season Saturday, SEC league officials have announced the seeding and times of the 2009 Women’s Tennis Tournament. The tournament will begin Thursday morning from the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Vanderbilt (10-7, 6-4 SEC) will be the fifth seed of the tournament and they will open the first round of tournament Thursday at 10:30 a.m., against 12th-seeded Mississippi State. The winner of the match will advance to face fourth-seeded Florida in the quarterfinals at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
The `Dores and Lady Bulldogs (10-9, 1-9 SEC) met once during the regular season with Vanderbilt topping MSU 6-1 at the Currey Tennis Center in Nashville.
