BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With the regular season coming to a close on Saturday, the Southeastern Conference released the schedule for the 2009 SEC Men’s Tennis Tournament on Sunday. The tournament will begin Thursday and will be played in Auburn, Ala.
The Commodores (5-16, 1-10 SEC) will be the No. 12 seed and will play fifth-seeded Alabama (19-6, 7-4 SEC) in the first round on Thursday at 11 a.m. The winner of the match will face fourth-seeded Florida in the quarterfinals at 11 a.m. Friday. Vanderbilt lost at Alabama, 6-1, on March 29.
Ole Miss earned the No. 1 seed after finishing league play 11-0.
