NEW YORK — Vanderbilt sophomore Ryan Haselden has been named the Golf World “College Player of the Week.”
With an eagle on the 18th hole at Golden Eagle G.C. in Tallahassee, Fla., Haselden secured his first collegiate win at the Seminole Intercollegiate. His three-under 213 performance also helped the Commodores to a one-stroke team triumph over Virginia.
The feature will appear in the March 16th issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com.
Kansas junior Meghan Gockel was this week’s female honoree after winning medalist honors at the Duramed Collegiate Invitational with a five-over 218.
Golf World’s “College Players of the Week” section highlights a male and a female who have demonstrated outstanding individual play during a seven day period.
