PENSACOLA, Fla. — Vanderbilt senior John Ebert shot a two-over 74 on Tuesday to move up 10 spots and finish in a tie for 31st at the 2009 Argonaut Invitational, hosted by the University of West Florida at the Pensacola Country Club.
Ebert led a trio of Commodores, all playing unattached, at the two-day, 54-hole event. The Charlotte, N.C., native finished the event at 11-over.
Sophomore Adam Hofmann finished in a tie for 36th place. Hofmann carded a six-over 78 in Tuesday’s final round to end the event at plus-13.
Junior Craig Tallent also shot a six-over 78 on Tuesday. Tallent’s 54-hole total of 237 (+21) put him in 59th place in the field of 71 golfers.
Vanderbilt’s 2009 team schedule continues later this week as Head Coach Tom Shaw takes a full five-man lineup to the 2009 Seminole Intercollegiate, March 6-8 in Tallahassee, Fla.
