NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt senior Christina Wirth has been named an ESPN The Magazine Academic First-Team All-District honoree, the College Sports Information Director’s Association (CoSIDA) announced Thursday. Wirth was one of five women’s basketball student-athletes named to the District IV University Division first team.
The Mesa, Ariz., native, has excelled in the classroom ever since she arrived on West End. Wirth, a Human and Organizational Development major, began her graduate studies last semester toward a master’s degree in nursing. During her undergradute career, she has carried a 3.6 grade point average, including a 4.0 during the fall of her senior campaign.
The first-team regional honor makes Wirth eligible to be named to the national ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America team, to be announced later this year.
