NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Midfielder Molly Kinsella picked up a pair of national honors as Soccer Buzz and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America named her to their All-Region teams recently.
Kinsella, who completed her second season as a Commodore in the fall, was named to the NSCAA’s All-Southeast Region’s third team, while also garnering third-team plaudits in Soccer Buzz’s Central Region.
Kinsella started in all 19 games and led the Commodores in scoring with eight goals and four assists. The goal total was tied for fourth most in the conference and was a career high for the Memphis native. She led the league in shots (84), shots per game (4.42), shots on goal (40) and shots on goal per game (2.11). Six of her goals came in league action, which was third best in the league.
She also was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2008 and was on the 2007 SEC All-Freshman team.
