In Need of a Lead
Vanderbilt took its first lead of the contest with 13 seconds remaining in the first half when senior Christina Wirth found sophomore Chanel Chisholm for an open lay-up on the Commodores’ final possession of the opening 20 minutes. Vanderbilt closed the opening stanza on a 6-0 run, holding the Lady Tigers without a point for the final 2:41. LSU had led by as many as eight points in the period (20-12), and the first half was tied only once (2-2).

Chanel, No. 3
With a layup at the 8:58 mark of in the second half, sophomore Chanel Chisholm established a new career high. The Long Island native finished the game with 15 points and five rebounds. For Chisholm, the afternoon bested a 13-point performance against Radford on Dec. 2 of this season.

Wirth Another Half
For the second straight game, senior Christina Wirth saved the best for second.Heading into the locker room at halftime, the Mesa, Ariz. native had scored two points. In the second half, Wirth poured in 15 to finish with a team-high 17. Last Sunday against Tennessee, Wirth scored all 10 of her points during the second half.
