NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 17th-ranked Commodore women’s basketball team looks to capture the 2008 Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament championship today at 4 p.m. CT inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Vanderbilt plays host to unbeaten Virginia Tech of the Atlantic Coast Conference in only the second meeting between the two schools. The Commodores defeated Davidson, 82-50, before Virginia Tech downed St. Joseph’s, 66-63, in Friday’s semifinal action.
Davidson and St. Joseph’s will face off in the consolation game beginning at 2 p.m.
Admission to both games is free. All fans planning to attend this weekend’s tournament are encouraged to bring children’s books to donate to the Charles Davis Foundation.
