Buy 2008-09 Basketball Season Tickets
NASHVILLE – With both the men’s and women’s basketball seasons starting over the next two weeks, tickets for Commodore home games are again at high demand.
A very limited number of 2008-09 Vanderbilt men’s basketball season tickets remain for the upcoming season, which begins with an exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 9 at Memorial Gymnasium.
Fans interested in buying season tickets should act fast — sales are on pace for season tickets to sell out for the second consecutive season at Memorial Gym.
The Commodore men, who went a perfect 19-0 in home games last season at Memorial Gym, return eight letterwinners from last year’s team, including 2008 preseason All-SEC first team selection A.J. Ogilvy. The home slate includes 17 regular season contests, an always rigorous eight-game SEC schedule, and a non-conference game against Illinois on Nov. 20.
Season tickets are on sale for as low as $99 at the Vanderbilt Ticket Office and online at VUcommodores.com.
The Commodore women’s basketball team is also expecting high attendance numbers again this season. Head Coach Melanie Balcomb’s squad was recently chosen as the preseason favorite to win the Southeastern Conference by a vote of regional and national media.
The 2008-09 women’s schedule features 16 regular-season home games, including contests against Notre Dame (Dec. 30), Tennessee (Jan. 11), LSU (Jan. 18) and Georgia (Feb. 15).
Beginning on Nov. 1, upper-level single-game tickets for all women’s basketball games will be available online only through the Commodores’ ticketing Web site at VUcommodores.com.
Season tickets remain available starting at only $30, a price-point which includes lower-level bench seats.
