CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Vanderbilt junior Jon Curran opens play at the 2008 NCAA East Region Championship on Thursday at the Council Fire Golf Club.
A 2007 All-American from Hopkinton, Mass., Curran is scheduled to tee off at 12:23 p.m. CT on the 10th hole. He is grouped with Troy’s Michael McGrady and Austin Peay’s Grant Leaver in the final tee time of Thursday’s opening round.
Five Southeastern Conference squads help make up the 27-team field. Six additional individuals were also invited to take part. The top 10 teams and top two individuals not on those teams will advance to the NCAA National Championship, May 28-31, at Purdue University’s Kampen Course.
