Vanderbilt goalkeeper Brooke Shinaberry was named the American Lacrosse Conference’s Player of the Week by the conference office today after helping the Commodores defeat conference rival Johns Hopkins 11-10 in sudden-victory overtime Sunday.
Vanderbilt, playing on the road, improved to 2-1 in the conference after Shinaberry notched her 11th save of the game on a shot in the first sudden victory period and the Commodores took the ball down to the other end of the field where they scored to claim the win. Shinaberry also picked up two ground balls in the game as Vandy improved to 8-4 on the season.
