GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Vanderbilt men’s golf team looks to continue its hot streak this weekend, traveling to the Palmetto State to take part in the Furman Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,825-yard Furman University Golf Course.

Second-year Head Coach Tom Shaw earned his first tournament victory at Vanderbilt two weeks ago when the Commodores won the Kauai Collegiate Cup at the Wailua, (Hawaii) Golf Course by an impressive 28 strokes.

The Commodores have boasted an individual medalist in each of their last two tournaments. Sophomore Hudson Johnson turned in a final-round nine-under 63 to win the Kauai Collegiate and junior All-American Jon Curran carded a 10-under 206 two weeks prior to earn first place at the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee, Fla.

An impressive 24-team field — which includes Southeastern Conference rival South Carolina as well as Clemson and defending team champion Virginia Tech from the Atlantic Coast Conference — awaits the Commodores in Greenville

Shaw has made only one change to his starting roster from Kauai. Junior Brett Lange returns to the lineup, joining Curran, Johnson, senior Billy Whalen and freshman Ryan Haselden.

The three-day, 54-hole event begins on Friday, March 28, with the Commodores teeing off at 12 Noon ET from the first tee.
