Vanderbilt and South Carolina will play the rubber game of the series Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. CT at Hawkins Field.
Redshirt freshman righthander Caleb Cotham (2-0, 1.96 ERA) will take the hill for the Commodores, while sophomore righthander Blake Cooper (2-1, 1.80 ERA) will start for the Gamecocks.
Vanderbilt took the series opener in dramatic fashion Friday, defeating South Carolina in extra innings behind Ryan Flaherty’s five hits including a game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the ninth and a walk-off single in the 13th to lead the Commodores to a 4-3 victory.
The Gamecocks responded Saturday to even the series, pounding out 18 hits and two homers in a 16-7 win over Vanderbilt.
